Peskov: G7 should discuss price cap on Russian gas with Gazprom

MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- Changing the price of Russian gas is subject of negotiations with Russia’s gas giant Gazprom, President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

“Depends on the directions, depends on the decision that Gazprom will make. Probably, they will demand changing the terms of the existing contracts and change the price, as far as it is legally possible,” Peskov said.

“This is a matter of negotiations, a contract matter.”

The G7 countries are studying setting prices for Russian gas.
